Events

Excursions, parties, and cultural events - you name it.

ISA is regularly organizing events for IGC students. Join in and get to know the students from other programs as well. So join in at get-togethers, sightseeing trips, the Christmas party, BBQ and excursions to several cities. Next to hard work, studying abroad is about getting to know the culture and having fun.

Orientation Week at IGC!

In German called "O-Woche"

Our ISA team organizes various activities to get to know our city in the north of Germany and meet your fellow students. Orientation weeks are often offered by and for individual departments at many universities in Germany. They are intended to give first-year students the smoothest possible start to their studies. Our motto at IGC is, as the people of Bremen say, Buten un Binnen, which means you will see Bremen from the outside and of course inside. We not only show you the campus, but also introduce you to Bremen as a whole.

Our beautiful Hanseatic city of Bremen - your new home!

Hanseatic City of Bremen - Full speed ahead!

1200 years of city history as a port city - Bremen has always been cosmopolitan and diverse. The old town with its stylish brick buildings is beautiful to look at. In the various coffee houses, especially in the city center, one feels a little bit reminded of Vienna. There is also a cultural scene in the city. Bremen is located on the Weser River. Many large international companies are located in the Bremen area. But Bremen is also a city of science. In addition, Bremen is known for its first division soccer team Werder Bremen. The Weserstation is located directly on the river. With the Überseestadt, a new, innovative district has been created.

In short, the perfect place to study.

Enrolment and paper work

As soon as you are on campus, ISA supports you in getting all necessary done. Next to enrolling we guide you through the most important stages of seattling in:

  • Enrolment
  • Registration office (city registration)
  • Opening of a bank account
  • Clarification of your health insurance

Why is a residence permit required?

Students who are not citizens of an EU country and want to study or work in Germany for a certain period of time need a so-called residence permit.
This permit must be applied for at a German embassy or consulate before entering Germany. We help with this with our service.
